Job Description
Working independently and in partnership with Director, the Global Procurement Associate Manager (Travel & Financial Services) is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and category management strategies and action plans against United States centric (e.g., ground transportation – rental car, limousine, ride-hailing, OTR lodging, trade shows) and global (e.g., business travel lodging) spend totaling <$50MM that reduce the total cost of travel, expand the utility of money spent to travel, and enhance the end user experience.
Accountabilities include:

  • Analyze data and translate that data into actionable ideas to support the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and tactics to reduce the total cost of travel and financial services categories and maximize the overall value delivery to PepsiCo.

  • Working independently and with internal and external stakeholders, identify next generation ideas to reduce the total cost of travel and enhance the end user experience, assess the fit for purpose, develop and align business case (where required), and implement solutions.

  • Evaluate and measure supplier performance to ensure it meets expectations, including service level agreements and other contractual requirements. Partner with suppliers to develop and implement action plans to close any service delivery gaps and implement the next generation processes and technology.

  • Lead supplier analysis, market assessments, and the development and execution of RFXs and other sourcing activities as well as the subsequent agreements and supplier implementation. Independently conduct level appropriate sourcing activities and the corresponding supplier relationship management activities.

  • Partner with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain category related communication plans, including intranet content, PEPfeed articles, eNewsletters, FAQs, and other information designed to support employee self-service and enhance the end-user experience.

  • Manage financial reconciliations (e.g., rebates, travel agency fee statements), including interaction with internal and external stakeholders, and continually identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes as well as communicate updates (e.g., actuals & full-year forecast) to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Maintain operational focus with emphasis on stakeholder service and day-to-day resolution of process and other issues; effectively communicate oral and written resolution of issues to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide interactive link between corporate internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; prefer a concentration in Business, Finance or Supply chain
  • 3+ years of relevant and transferable business experience, preferably Indirect sourcing / procurement experience
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, including Excel and databases
  • Ability to work independently to deliver results, willingness to take on new challenges and explore the marketplace to identify possible sources of innovation
  • Eager to embrace and support change, ability to manage against the right priorities
  • Effective negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • This position is limited to persons with an indefinite right to work in the United States
