Job Description Summary: The branded experience team, which is the core payment business at PayPal, is looking for a talented, ambitious and self-motivated product manager to own and drive Paypal’s Buy Now Pay Later selection of products (Buy Now Pay Later global market is expected to reach $680Bn by 2025). You will play a key role in crafting the buyer experience for online shoppers all the way from discovery and selection of payment methods to completion of their shopping experience using PayPal’s Buy Now Pay Later products. You’ll be responsible for building these experiences for all of PayPal’s core markets (US, UK, FR, DE, ES, IT, CA) and will continue launching products to other strategic markets that PayPal has a presence in. Develop a deep understanding of and empathy for our consumers, their shopping behavior, post transaction expectations and define the entire customer lifecycle.
Develop product roadmap and collaborate with cross-functional teams (User-experience design, Engineering, Business, Analytics, Product marketing, Program management, Risk and Legal) to execute on the roadmap
Define goals and expected outcomes of roadmap items, aligning with portfolio objectives and key results (OKRs)
Work with an agile scrum team to define detailed requirements, write user stories and prioritize the backlog
Drive product development with an iterative approach to continually build, release, and improve end to end solutions
Work with analytics partners to evaluate experiment and launch outcomes as well as ongoing product performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
5+ years of product management experience with a focus on consumer internet products. Prior payments and/or eCommerce experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or other equivalent degree. MBA preferred but not required.
Relevant experience developing high-quality customer facing products, technologies or platforms with proven ability to consistently deliver up to spec products
Strong product thinking, ability to advocate for the best customer experience and continually make prioritization decisions to focus on the best value for end customers
Ability to translate product needs into technical requirements, understand technology dependencies, and discuss technical trade-offs
Strong collaboration skills, ability to drive and influence complex decision-making with various stakeholder groups and build consensus
Excellent communication and ability to simplify and tailor messages to different audiences
Robust problem-solving ability, breaking down complex challenges to find solutions
Highly comfortable with data and making data-backed product decisions
Some travel required.
