Job Description Summary: The Payments product team is seeking an exceptional Sr. Product Manager to build world class payment solutions to strengthen our core capabilities. Moving money is one of PayPal's core capabilities.

We are looking for a passionate product person who shall be able to challenge the status quo and build innovative products leveraging the power of strategic partnerships. The Platform Manager is responsible for enabling geo-expansion, partner ecosystem management, network compliance, and transaction expense globally.
The PM is responsible for key KPI’s of the Instant transfer platform and manages the system with a keen eye to increase availability, and transaction throughput. The PM works in close partnership with a host of cross-functional teams to ensure that the instant transfer platform can support all the requirements of the various PayPal products, within consumer and merchant. The job requires the PM to build and maintain close working relations with the various card processing and bank partners in the region. . The PM also works with Business Operations, Chargeback management, Accounting and various operational teams to ensure that all related processes are functioning smoothly. Job Description
  • Drive ideation and brainstorming discussion with partners – internal and external, to define innovative products that delight users.
  • Define requirements, coordinate and lead the successful execution of payment platform products within the PPE organization.
  • Develop and launch new products and enhance the quality of the existing products. Track the payment platform and pro-actively monitor product KPIs & identify/close the gaps.
  • Engage closely with the engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation method within the given time and budget.
  • Coordinate with business unit teams to help create the payments ecosystem by exploring innovative opportunities and contributing with creative solutions.
  • Engage in problem solving with the analytics teams to determine trends and root causes.
  • Lead and rally teams to execute complex problems spanning multiple orgs
  • Work closely with the various Operations teams (Accounting, Chargebacks etc) to define processes and best practices for ensuring smooth backend operations
  • Use A/B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making.
  • Partner with Customer Support teams in solving pain points for our users.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure the solutions we put out are within the regulatory boundaries.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant product management experience including experience in payments, banking, credit union, or other financial systems, preferably knowledgeable with accounting and systems integration of such systems.
  • Experience in card issuance and/or acquiring at a bank, Bank (ACH or globally)Processing experience at a bank or equivalent, processor or consultancy with focus on settlement, clearing, and reconciliation processes is a plus.
  • Strong system and data flow knowledge. Ability to learn and adapt to new product flows and software technologies.
  • Energetic, creative and able to deliver innovative solutions
  • Must handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail and should possess strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • BS/BA or higher degree, preferably in computer science or engineering. MBA desired.
