Job Description Summary: Our product team brings together the best of PayPal, Braintree, Venmo, Hyperwallet & Zettle for Commerce platforms that either act as Enablers of businesses or provide a Marketplace like ecosystem to enable buying/selling of goods and services. Our team of product managers, designers, and engineers are passionate about the customer and confident about their craft to address the customer needs. This 3-in-a-box team is excited to build comprehensive payments solutions for such businesses, irrespective of their size, complexity or global reach.
As a Senior Product Manager on the Multilateral Business Solutions team, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of multilateral businesses by talking to our customers alongside our sales and marketing teams as well as performing high level industry research and competitor analysis. You will collaborate with Finance and Analytics to build the business case, and once approved you will own the end-to-end delivery of the capability working with multiple cross-functional teams. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a keen eye for detail, the courage to question the established normal and the drive to solve customers’ challenges.
Define an overall understanding of where the product is against the key industry data as well as what features our competitors have provided to address that specific ask from the customer segment
Liaison with Sales & Global Professional Services teams in PayPal to understand the key customer needs and communicate back deliveries matching those asks
Define product requirements and lead successful execution of initiatives that enable Multilateral Business Solutions for PayPal
Use A/B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making
Partner with Risk, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the products we deliver are within regulatory boundaries.
Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs.
Partner with cross-functional teams at PayPal and external partners to design, build, launch, and market new payment capabilities
Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and inform product decisions. Engage in problem solving with analytics to determine trends and root causes.
Define a product launch plan for your area, including identifying new opportunities as well as maintaining a rolling marketing roadmap of projects or iterations.
Minimum of a BS/BA is required, MBA or MS is preferred
5+ years of online payments or related product management experience
Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products for a fast paced industries; e.g. eCommerce or Retail or FinTech or any fast paced B2C/C2C platforms
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across global teams
History of leading and executing in fast-paced, high-growth, uncertain environments & prioritizing competing customer features to meet product goals
Comfortable using data and analytics to inform product decisions
Strong ability to collaboratively lead cross-functional groups and drive action
