You will co-own deliverables of the roadmap with other engineering managers and be accountable for the successful delivery of features developers working with PayPal will use every day.

What we look for in you:
Lead the Sandbox Engineering under Developer Ecosystem Engineering organization, working with Product and Design to define product roadmap and build a cohesive end to end experience for the PayPal Developers Portal. That includes managing collaboration across teams as needed and resolving competing priorities.
4+ years managing software development teams
6+ years of web client and tools engineering and product development experience with strong delivery track record of high-quality consumer products at scale.
Experience in managing and operationalizing complex production environment
Experience in developer-facing products (e.g. SDKs, REST APIs, GraphQL) or products that enable third-party application development are great to have but not required
Lead the organization to constantly deliver top quality client products on time and on budget. Bring predictability to the team’s overall performance and delivery.
Experience working in an Agile environment, including Extreme Programming practices like Iterative Development, Continuous Integration (and Deployment) and Test-Driven Development.
Hiring, developing & retaining top talent and be responsible for the overall team structure. Coach and mentor managers and individual contributors.
Guide decisions on overall technical plan, including architecture and technical strategy.
Own and enhance development processes to ensure the quality of products and code, enhancing the engineering discipline of the team.
Keep up to date on industry trends and technologies and apply them quickly to our products.
