Job Description Summary: This role will focus on enhancing cross-functional community and culture engagement at the local level to empower and motivate PayPal employees to do purpose-driven work and instill a stronger sense of employee pride, retain, and attract employees and create long-term ripple effects of positivity in all areas of the business. With thoughtful implementation of important global culture and community engagement strategies, people will feel compelled to bring PayPal’s values to life within their communities – as one team. A key priority in this role will be to improve community and culture performance at a site by connecting people to community and engagement opportunities, reinforce PayPal’s mission, vision, and values, and build effective community and culture programs. This unique role requires a passionate individual who will think about the employee first and help influence decisions, actions, and concepts to a high-level site leader.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Lead local site engagement efforts: to create an enriched and engaging program for all employees at the site to connect with one another, connect to our values and to connect to areas of interest.
  • Manage Site Councils: and work with local cross-functional partners, including senior leaders, ERGs, internal communications, Wellness Ambassadors, facilities, security and HRBPs to ensure a safe, engaging, and enriched employee environment.
    • Monthly check in meetings with all council members
    • Reactive preparedness for any site impacts or events
    • Gather local volunteers and teams to help drive engagement
  • Promote initiatives locally: deliver global, regional, and local campaigns in local markets via our communication channels (Slack, site newsletters, calendars, digital signage, etc)
  • Track employee engagement: ensuring that employees at your site are engaging with all experiences; share engagement reports with stakeholders at your site to encourage participation; leverage data and analysis to track progress against goals, make results-based decisions and raise flags.
  • Field employee and community partners queries at your site and liaise with your council on queries when needed
  • Collect and share stories of impact and visuals to celebrate your site’s engagement wins

Basic Qualifications:
  • A demonstrated passion for employee engagement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with leading, coaching and liaising with employees at all levels.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and comfortably with employees who have diverse skills and experience and are in different geographies and levels within the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with attentiveness to detail and consistent follow through
  • Understanding of who the key stakeholders are at your site and how they connect to PayPal from a global perspective.
  • Ability to prioritize engagement opportunities and requests.
  • Ability to work confidently and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
