The Team – Marketing Technology (aka MarTech):
MarTech team is responsible for the technology & experiences driving PayPal marketing activities touching millions of customers worldwide. Team is on a transformational journey to consolidate disparate tools onto a common marketing platform that can automatically drive intelligent decisions about the next best action for any given customer based on how they interact with PayPal products & services. Job Description, T-Profile:
SFMC specialist developer codes, configures, tests, and debugs new marketing campaigns, including data configuration, email distributions, audience creation, and utilization of capabilities in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform.
Depth Type: Deep
Experience working on large scale B2B Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) implementations.
Proficient in leveraging various studios & builders in SFMC platform for running B2B marketing campaigns. Studios - Email, Social, Web, Mobile etc. Builders – Journey, Contact, Audience, Content, Analytics etc.
Deep hands-on understanding of SFMC’s data extension architecture, integration capabilities & automation capabilities.
Knowledge of Salesforce administrative functions including process builder, triggers and workflow is desirable.
Working knowledge of Pardot & Demandbase platforms will be a plus.
Polyglot engineer with development background in Java, SQL, SOQL, Web development (HTML, JS & CSS) & Amp scripting.
Agile mindset and knowledge of Dev Ops, CI-CD tools & process is a must.

The team trusts, that with you around, no technical and architectural barriers exist. Week after week you are enabling any and every marketing use cases with rapid Proof of Concepts, coding away user stories and features, orchestration across PYPL technical ecosystem and if required breaking the architecture. You are a star firefighter who after winning the fight always come back to refactoring the architecture and code base to keep it healthy. Even with all this happening around you, you are finding time to read and learn more about emerging technologies.
Skills to be used: Deep knowledge of SFMC platform, tools & frameworks in PayPal ecosystem. The ubiquitous language used to articulate business or technical problems to drive knowledge acquisition for the team.
What will your quarter look like?
You have identified parts of the system which need to be refactored and you are getting your hands dirty with refactoring while partnering across PYPL organization. You are helping shape & define the to-be state continuously and moving towards it. With quarterly cadence you are consolidating and refactoring features which were delivered in the quarter with focus on user and developer experience trumping functionality. Your coding skills are exemplary. You are also collaborating and contributing to the continuous improvement and evolution of PYPL ecosystem by partnering across teams. You are reviewing key metrics, learning from mistakes and scaling up successful tests.
Skills to be used: Coding best practices, Architecture & Design patterns. Communication and soft skills.
