Job Description Summary: As a Senior Product Manager in the Global Payment Optimization team, you will be responsible for conceiving and creating the best in class products and experiences that millions of PayPal and Braintree merchants will use to enhance their payment experience. In this role, you will bring together a passion and diligence for creating exceptional experiences along with technical payments expertise. You will collaborate very closely with engineering and keep the team in sync with daily stand-ups and have regular retrospectives and planning meetings. You will also collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure that our enterprise and partner businesses get the best-in-class solutions and experiences. Job Description:
  • Investigate and understand global customer and merchant pain points and come up with innovative solves to address these pain points.
  • Challenge traditional products and experiences and build the next generation of processing solutions for PayPal’s merchants. This includes the definition and development of payment user experience, payment APIs, and processing integrations.
  • Perform user research, usability studies, market research and focus on building seamless, simple, and intuitive solutions to enhance transaction success rate.
  • Review product performance and provide a continuous improvement path.
  • Walkthrough product vision and specification with engineering and architecture – review the technical solution.
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture and design teams throughout the software development lifecycle – be able to resolve open issues, answer product questions and guide the engineering and development teams to building the right products.
  • Work with quality engineering team to develop test plans and strategies to ensure product quality
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop, market, and launch product globally
  • Use A/B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure the solutions we put out are within the regulatory boundaries.
  • Make tough priority calls and trade-offs balancing available time, talent, and critical business needs
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives and write user stories.
