Job Description Summary: The CRS Venmo CFI Specialist will be primarily responsible for identifying and analyzing advanced fraud. Successful candidates will use a variety of risk tools in order to take appropriate actions. Primarily this role will involve a high level of self - initiative, and an intuitive and pro-active approach to Risk. Core Responsibilities
  • Act as an SME for Consumer Risk
  • Conduct proactive reviews based on fraud indicators.
  • Conduct proactive E2E reviews based on risk indicators, complete root cause analyses, prevent loss and enable business.
  • Collaboration with all departments in investigating Authentication Risk.

Requirements:
  • 12+ months Fraud Operational experience at PayPal/Venmo
  • Must currently be in Consumer Risk Services or been in Risk in the last 12 months.
  • Strong Consumer Risk knowledge
  • Ability to detect and mitigate fraud rings
  • Knowledge of large losses and how to mitigate
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while making sound business decisions on case information
  • Proficiency with Venmo internal tools.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of PC based internet and software applications
  • Knowledge of external systems and software (the internet, Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through
  • Ability to make discretionary decisions based on research. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers and peers

Experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience within a financial service industry or call center environment in one of these areas:
  • Technical or Product Support
  • Call Center/Customer Support experience with direct customer contact
  • Financial services industry
  • Fraud or Risk Experience

Education
Diploma or Equivalent
