Job Description Summary: Hiring new Operations Project Manager for the team in Chicago. Full job description listed below.
Job Description:
At its core, Braintree’s Operations team comes to work every day with white gloves on. Our various groups- Account Management, Technical Support, Risk, Underwriting, and Onboarding- each work diligently to be the best advocates and thinkers for our growing merchant community. With such a powerful Operations organization, there is an equally powerful Product team alongside it. Our Project Managers sit on the ledge that separates Product and Operations in both the Braintree and PayPal landscapes- they’re our communicators, organizers, and executors. Think of them as the wire between two soup cans, or the peanut butter and jelly between two slices of bread.
Our Operations team is looking for a motivated, execution oriented and organized Project Manager who has the ability to use both creativity and business sense to get the job done and keep the team focused on the end goal.
Basic Requirements

  • Experience in working with Product Management teams, high level executives, and third party players

  • Acrobatic juggling skills; you’re someone who can skillfully handle multiple projects at once

  • Passionate and knowledgeable; your thirst for learning extends further than what is required for your job, and you are your own best teacher

  • Strong communicator; you enjoy working with all types of people, and feel confident hammering home big ideas with managers and executives

  • Obsessive organizer; you love using tools to help solve problems, color coding and alphabetizing is your middle name, and taking notes is a favorite past time

  • Big picture thinker; you’re pragmatic and can take a telescopic lens to problems and conversations

  • Expert problem solver; you love puzzles and riddles- and most of all, solving them

  • Flexible; you understand that projects and decisions will change at the drop of a hat, and you’re comfortable adapting to whatever changes are thrown at you

  • Forward thinker; you proactively seek answers to the unanswered questions even before they’re asked

  • Technophile; you feel passionately about technology and you’re routinely the tech resource for your family and friends

  • Giddy sense of humor; you like to laugh and know how to search for a relevant gif

  • Constant positive attitude; throughout the day, in every which-way
