Job Description Summary: As a member of PayPal’s Marketing Finance team, this position will play a key role in providing financial leadership and counsel to senior leaders of the Core Marketing Team including senior leaders. This role will work closely with the Marketing leadership team to develop a full understanding of Core strategic priorities and partner with them to execute and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting.
Develop an understanding of the Global Marketing strategic priorities, resources and headcount needs; partner with business and finance to execute and improve financial planning and budgeting.
Lead month-end close, forecasting, reporting and annual budget planning for OPEX, CONTRA and headcounts
Gain deep understanding of Marketing taxonomy and different systems utilized to run and track Marketing campaigns.
Spearhead weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reviews and business deep dives
Partner with Business to drive compliance and process of forecasted spend with SOW’s
Partner with Legal, and Sourcing specialists to drive compliance and policy.
Partner with Business leaders to deliver monthly forecasting processes and provide analytical fire power to long-term planning process
Provide assessment of risks and opportunities to business leaders to drive sound financial decisions and positive impact to the business
Partner with the Marketing Analytics team to liaise Marketing spend to Business performance and provide insights to Leadership on outcome/ROI delivered vs. expectations.
Maintain and optimize existing OPEX processes to improve efficiency
Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies and GAAP regulations
Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs and decision making
Financial Modeling and Planning, including trend and variance analysis
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related
5+ years of professional experience in a high growth technology company, fin tech preferred.
Experience in developing reports and/or reporting tools that clearly communicate insights and results
Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders
Experience in establishing and driving process improvement projects while remaining agile to adapt to changing priorities
Strong candidates will have MS Excel & Powerpoint expertise and working experience with SAP/Oracle systems.
The ideal candidate should have experience in Marketing finance and a proven track record of delivering excellent finance support and strong business partnership.
