Job Description Summary: This role will focus on developing and implementing community and employee engagement strategies for our Happy Returns Hub network across the U.S. With thoughtful implementation of global culture and community engagement strategies, our people will feel compelled to bring PayPal’s values to life. A key priority in this role will be to drive community and culture performance across sites by connecting people to community and engagement opportunities, reinforcing PayPal’s mission, vision, and values, and building effective community and culture programs. This unique role requires a passionate individual who will think about the employee first and help influence decisions and actions across the Hub network. This person will also have a leadership role in fostering a sense of community across our various PayPal offices in the US Happy Returns sites.
Job Description:
  • Lead Site Engagement Strategy: Create an enriched and engaging program for all warehouse and business employees at the site to connect with one another, connect to our values and to connect to areas of interest.
  • Business Unit Engagement Budget: Maintain the engagement budget for all sites associate to this business unit
  • Manage Site Council: Work with local cross-functional partners, including site leadership, facilities, security and HRBPs to ensure a safe, engaging, and enriched employee environment.
    • Monthly check in meetings with all council members
    • Reactive preparedness for any site impacts or events
    • Gather local volunteers and teams to help drive engagement
  • Site Communications: Promote global, regional, and local campaigns via appropriate communication channels (site newsletters, standup meetings, bulletin boards, posters, digital signage, etc.)
  • Measure Employee Engagement Success: Develop feedback mechanisms to ensure employees at your site are engaged; share engagement reports with stakeholders at your site to encourage participation; leverage data and analysis to track progress against goals, make results-based decisions and raise flags; collect and share stories of impact and visuals to celebrate your site’s engagement wins
  • Field Employee and Community Partners Queries: Serve as a point of contact for employees and members of the external community at your site; liaise with your site council and global functions on queries when needed

Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong background in working for a company with warehouse employees – understanding their needs, how to communicate and how to engage hourly employees
  • A demonstrated passion for employee engagement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with leading, coaching and liaising with employees at all levels
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and comfortably with employees who have diverse skills and experience and are in different geographies and levels within the organization
  • Strong project management skills with attentiveness to detail and consistent follow through
  • Ability to prioritize engagement opportunities and requests
  • Ability to work confidently and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented environment where a high degree of flexibility is required

Years of Experience:
2+ years in communications or warehouse people engagement
