Job Description Summary: We're looking for an ambitious, visionary and diligent product leader for a portfolio of mission-critical projects on PayPal's core business. This role has the potential to build a world-class team and make material contributions to the company's bottom line.
Job Description:
PayPal Checkout is the company's flagship product, offering over 300 million consumers the ability to easily check out at millions of online merchants. This role focuses on making it easier for consumers to access their PayPal wallet while checking out on merchant sites. There are significant opportunities to streamline the user experience and better delight consumers who want to pay as easily and securely as possible, and significant Engineering resources to collaborate with.
  • Develop breakthrough products to accelerate growth in our Checkout offerings based on deep customer insights and by leveraging the unique differentiators of PayPal’s ecosystem
  • Deliver delightful products valued by both consumers and merchants, validating with experiments along the way and iterating towards optimal solutions
  • Own business outcomes and update senior management about progress and challenges
  • Grow and lead a team of Product Managers to innovate across a portfolio of projects
  • Become the subject matter expert in the user journey from merchant site to PayPal Checkout and a thought leader inside and outside the company
  • Leverage capabilities from sister companies Venmo, Honey and Xoom to make PayPal Checkout even more ubiquitous and easy to access

Success In This Role Requires
  • Inspiring all levels of the organization with your product vision and customer passion
  • Identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and world-class product management practices
  • Quantifying opportunities in terms of the needs of consumers, merchants and PayPal
  • Creating and managing global product roadmaps, prioritization, and constraints to ensure consistent execution of the product lifecycle process from concept to launch
  • Defining the product and customer experience with high quality business requirements and user stories while managing scope of each product launch
  • Helping teams move forward swiftly by setting and communicating a holistic vision, driving execution with rigor, speed and transparency, removing roadblocks, and collaborating with excellence across all functions and teams
  • Understanding of e-commerce and payments is a plus

  • 8+ years of Product Management or related leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly consumer products
  • A track record for world-class delivery
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce and digital payments
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and ability to turn insights into a compelling vision
  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
