Build and maintain private AWS cloud infrastructure supporting PayPal Credit. Deploy new infra using existing IaC build pipelines and orchestration tools. Handle post-implementation EC2 host config. Deploy required security tooling and respond promptly to audit related requests. Manage monthly security patching. Address critical vulnerabilities, should they arise. Troubleshoot infra issues to ensure peak performance. Manage Scrum workflow through JIRA and maintain support documentation in Confluence. Align monitoring and escalation process with PayPal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least two (2) years of experience supporting Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure support (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with setting up CI projects and tools
  • Familiarity with setting up CD projects and tools
  • Ability to write unit tested infrastructure as code
  • Ability to stay organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting requirements, dates, and priorities
  • Self-directed learner able to pick up and master new technologies on the fly

Preferred Skills:
  • Object Oriented language (e.g. Typescript / JavaScript / Ruby)
  • Scripting (e.g. Bash or PowerShell)
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Automation and orchestration tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • AWS Certification (e.g. Cloud Practitioner)
  • IAM (Active Directory / AWS IAM)
  • CDN (e.g. caching, SSL termination, traffic routing)
  • DNS (understand concepts and operational practices)
  • Enterprise monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Datadog, Splunk)
  • Experience in an on-call rotation support environment

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience can be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.
