Job Description Summary: DevOps Engineer
Job Description:

  • Own all the existing Google Cloud Platform (GCE) and Amazon Web Services(AWS) infrastructure (EC2, RDS, Elasticache and many more)

  • Implement processes to automate deployment and scaling

  • Assist development teams with any infrastructure needs

  • Diagnose complex issues affecting performance and scaling

  • Implement security philosophies to build a bullet proof system

  • Review, monitoring and set up alerts for all the various services

  • Help with cost optimization of infrastructure

  • Act as single point of contact for site reliability and uptime maintenance


  • Sound knowledge of Linux (ubuntu server preferred), Linux containers and deployment methodologies(blue green methodologies preferred)

  • Hands on experience with GCE and AWS services (EC2, RDS, elasticache, Route53 and others)

  • Experience in load balancer configurations for dynamic web application

  • Experience with DevOps techniques and philosophies

  • Experience with release and build management. (Jenkins preferred)

  • Experience with deploying and maintaining high traffic infrastructure (performance testing is a plus)

  • Extensive hands-on experience with databases and NoSQL is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (high five on python and/or shell)

  • Ability to work with automated deployment scripts in Ansible/Puppet/Chef etc

  • Good knowledge of git

  • Experience with Cassandra, Spark, and Kafka is a plus

  • Extensive hands-on experience with databases and NoSQL is a plus

  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes would be a plus

  • Inquisitive nature to learn about new tools and technologies and implement the same

  • Self-starter who can implement with minimal guidance and with a passion to work in an exciting fast paced environment


  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience

  • Top-notch problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex concepts

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Languages – English
