Job Description Summary: The Compliance Investigations (CI) Strategy Leader will serve as the trusted advisory and delivery expert to the Global Head of Compliance Investigations, leading a team of program managers to drive implementation. Will partner with the Head of Compliance Investigations and the senior leadership team to ensure effective and data driven problem solving, decision-making, execution, and communication strategies are deployed globally. The incumbent will support PayPal Compliance Investigations operations through helping to develop strategy, assess process effectiveness and areas of refinement in order to drive the continual evolution of the program. Capable and can thrive in high paced, high demand situations and finding innovative solutions. Must be a resilient, high achievement orientation leader with mental flexibility. Able to work and design in areas that may have minimal information and direction.
Job Description:
  • Lead global transformation strategies, including coordination of work streams, strategy design, planning, and execution;
  • Lead and provide direct oversight for a global team of Compliance Investigations Program Managers, responsible for delivering transformation initiatives in Suspicious Activity Reporting, Brand Risk Management, and Due Diligence programs, globally.
  • Reduce regulatory and reputational risk through designing strategic plans across Compliance Investigations, globally;
  • Guide SCM and platform consolidation strategy across verticals to support effective and efficient investigations;
  • Acting as an internal consultant and change agent, collaborating closely with different teams to achieve results while also challenging and improving established ways of working initially focusing on developing a comprehensive customer centric investigative model that leverages a synergistic one-touch approach;
  • Partnering with other leaders to translate broad directives or goals into tactical strategy and implementation plans;
  • Work with a global team of leaders supporting operational needs and strategies, such as new product and program expansions;
  • Responsible for designing, prioritizing, and tracking the delivery of quarterly sprints;
  • Serve as the primary liaison to key stakeholders and oversee the planning and execution of key meetings helping to design our operational and engagement model;
  • Drafting and coordination of high-level business requirements and one-pagers for budget processes
  • Establish KPIs and other metrics with key stakeholders and senior leaders, such as performance metrics and underlying data;
  • Skilled communicator both orally and in drafting effective presentations. Will be responsible for crafting regular department-wide presentations;
  • Proactive identification of developing issues;
  • Capable of leading teams both formally and informally;
  • Able to work in a highly matrixed organizational structure.

  • 7+ year experience gained in leadership roles in Banking, Technology, Strategy, Growth, and Consultancy. First-hand experience of business transformation initiatives, reporting, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with project leadership and hands-on execution. Can bring structure and multi-task across work streams, driving them forward.
  • Experienced in business case development, market and opportunity sizing and preparing strategic recommendations for senior executives.
  • Data-driven. Highly numerate and comfortable analyzing and determining business performance data. Experience with business intelligence solutions desirable.
  • Process improvement and design experience
  • Experienced in building strong relationships with people from different functions and backgrounds; comfortable communicating and interacting with senior executives. Can deliver results and gain buy-in within a matrix organization.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required
