Job Description Summary: The B2B Commercial Executive is a new role for the growing DE Deferred Payments division within PayPal Credit which manages PayPal Ratenzahlung and other future consumer credit products in Germany. This position reports into the Senior Manager, Business Development for Deferred Payments in Germany, based in Berlin. This role will interact with a cross-functional team and partner with colleagues from numerous domains—including Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Credit Risk, PMO, Legal, Operations, Compliance & Analytics —to drive B2B commercial growth in our DE Deferred Payments businesses.

Commercial Executive - Deferred Payments (m/f/d)
Core responsibilities:
  • In coordination with sales & marketing partners, ensure existing merchant base is aware of our products and services in order to scale deferred payments in Germany to exceed their financial targets.
  • Maximize upsells to our merchant base (primarily SMB) to drive number of active merchants and merchant engagement.
  • Support sales initiatives and find improvement potential with direct business impact in close cooperation with different sales teams.
  • Participate in development of new sales targets. Monitor, analyze and report on progress and prepare presentations of the results.
  • Ensure internal and external sales materials are kept updated in both English and German language. Conduct internal sales trainings to ensure teams are equipped and ready to sell.
  • Participate in the go to market strategy of any future products or features.

  • Master degree or equivalent
  • Experience with consumer credit products in Germany and knowledge of sales processes
  • Knowledge of and passion for eCommerce and the SMB segment in the DE region, including SMB sales, cart partner landscape, and B2B marketing.
  • Experience with and familiarity of a range of business disciplines including B2B product marketing, product development and management, financial planning & analysis, credit risk, and operations.
  • Be action-oriented with a strong and consistent track record of professional accomplishments including delivery of commercial results and ability to influence a cross-functional team of peers & senior leaders.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and multi-national team.
  • Flexible and willing to take on any challenge with a high level of passion and creativity.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones (primarily Europe & US)
  • Fluent English and German required.
