Job Description Summary: PayPal has experienced explosive growth over the past few years and as its customers have grown and expanded, so too have the complexities and interdependencies of PayPal’s product portfolio. The Product Business Operations team acts as the “connective tissue” linking all aspects of the organization together, and we are growing to support those needs. In this role, you’ll split your time between functioning as a Chief of Staff and a Business Operations Leader, supporting the Chief Product Officer’s organization. To be successful, you’ll need strong business orientation, the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams, and a strong focus on collaboration with counterparts within and across teams as you support initiatives which build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision. The position is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interaction with the senior executive team as well as all other PayPal staff levels and external stakeholders, globally.

Responsibilities include:
Business Strategy, Planning, and Reviews
Leading the development of PayPal’s strategy on high visibility initiatives, and long-term strategic priorities in key ecosystem areas
Developing materials to facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional team discussions as well as communicate with senior management
Articulating and managing KPIs using metrics to drive performance and provide data in support of key decisions
Creating frameworks to help structure the team’s thinking, drive visibility, and facilitate alignment
Leading and taking ownership of financial and data analysis in support of strategic objectives
Program Management
Driving related strategic projects into the execution phase, partnering with teams across the organization
Identifying dependencies and leveraging multiple sources of information simultaneously
Preparing realistic estimates of resource requirements (e.g., budget, headcount) needed to accomplish team objectives
Balancing urgent and effective action, commitment to excellence, and taking initiative to resolve problems; holding internal stakeholders accountable where appropriate
Coordinating, supporting and providing guidance on initiatives to cross-functional PayPal stakeholders
Partnering closely with PayPal PMO, HR, and Finance teams to create a symbiotic relationship based on trust and transparency
Driving and managing forums for check-ins with product teams, stakeholders, executive leadership and strategic merchants
Scaling the organization to ensure measurability, ongoing sustainability, and rapid growth
Product Strategy
Creating compelling product narratives to share product strategy with senior leadership and enterprise readouts
Developing fact-based recommendations and strategies for in partnership with our product leaders
Role Requirements
Technical Acumen
8+ years of strong consulting, operations, or strategy experience preferred
Industry expertise in payments and / or technology preferred
Experience as a Product Manager and/or roles in engineering is preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail-oriented work
Ability to translate complex technical matters into terms understood by business professionals
Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint
