About the team
The Manila Development Center (MDC) is one of the offshore development centers of UGBU Product Development. We strive to innovate and deliver high-quality next generation products for global markets while ensuring a responsible and sustainable future.
As part of the MDC Development team, you will:
Be exposed to and learn Oracle Utilities applications by designing, developing and maintaining features for those products.
Search for, investigate, learn and employ technologies for use in developing features or infrastructure.
Be part of a team practicing Agile and Scrum.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Develop and implement tests of our product suite
Develop automation in existing tools and frameworks, and extend those tools and frameworks as necessary
Execute both white- and black-box testing
Create and execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and user stories revolving around complex data scenarios
Work with the developers in one scrum team and help with Dev tasks as well
Work closely with the scrum team to ensure the right level of focused, effective automation coverage and efficiencies.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Job Requirements
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
6+ years software testing experience
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Experience working with Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) is a plus
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Proficiency with any programming/scripting language (Java or Javascript) is a plus
Experience in writing unit test cases using Junit is a plus
Strong understanding of relational databases is a must
Aptitude for learning new technologies; supported by solid problem solving and troubleshooting)
PERSONAL PROFILE:
Quick learner, self-motivator, attention to details and must be a good team player are welcome.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong problem solving skills.
Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.
As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
