Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) runs the Oracle software that runs on Oracle. OAL is responsible for developing, implementing, running, and improving nearly all of Oracle's Enterprise On-Premise and Cloud Applications which include SaaS and PaaS offerings.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Drive Technical and Functional architecture for the mission-critical applications to support SCM and Field service cloud business
Design, Develop, Implement, and maintain, complex, high-performance, and highly scalable systems
Brainstorm new product concepts, apply a Safe Agile process to expose new design possibilities, establish the feasibility of concepts with the user community and iterate
Prototype and engineer new business applications to support Oracle’s strategic initiatives
Contribute to OAL’s strong drive to lead business transformation through IT innovation
Partnering with the business to define Business Practices and analyzing specific business problems
Participate in user acceptance testing on new cloud products
Work with Development teams to understand new capabilities and assist in resolving product gaps and enhance the product to better meet the marketplace
Responsible for technical set-up of Supply Chain and Field Service modules on product implementation
Develop and share best practice/technical/process documents
Bachelors/Master’s degree from reputed institutions
8 to 12+ years of experience in the IT industry
Experience in Supply Chain Management, Hardware Support and Field Service Delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Team player in taking ownership of issues
Be a continuous learner, able to explore new areas, learn new things, and quickly apply them to solve new problems
Ability and flexibility to work in a global team, matrix management, and under tight deadlines
Assists with analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
As part of a software project implementation team, provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user needs. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business specifications. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
