Did you happen to catch our Q4 earnings report? Oracle Applications is now a $4.4 BILLION revenue business and growing year-over-year with Fusion ERP up 42% and Fusion HCM up 30%! Due to this incredible growth, Oracle Digital is seeking a Solutions Engineering Director to lead the North America Solution Engineers focused on some of our largest install accounts. This role will Partner with the GVP of NA Sales and set the strategy and direction for our technical engagement in the sales cycle across ODNA. You will also take a hands-on approach to develop new leaders and helping your team run with new opportunities. This position is critical to ensuring the continued success of our sales organization.
Oracle Digital Applications is looking for a Director of Solutions Engineering who embodies the Oracle cultural tenets and has a demonstrated track record of customer-facing technical leadership.
The successful candidate will help shape how we partner and go-to-market with sales. This leader will build and lead a team, reporting to our GVP of Solutions Engineering and partnering with senior leaders across the company.
We seek someone with:
Strong team leadership ability is required, with 7+ years experience as a direct manager of teams in a customer-facing pre-sales technical role, and 1+ years managing managers.
Experience with strategic planning and setting strategies for Technical Sales teams and advising non-technical Sales teams
Experience building demand generation programs that have an impact and reach
Hands-on approach to problem-solving and leading by example. Always ready to work opportunities directly alongside the team when needed.
Ability and desire to teach both Solutions Engineers and Account Sales Executives
A strong understanding of the sales cycle, as well as experienced in the technology areas relevant to Oracle Fusion Applications’ back-office market: Analytics, Human Capital (HCM), Financials, Supply Chain (SCM), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Management.
A world-class communicator. Confident in influencing and engaging with a highly skilled and experienced audience including C-level executives.
Typically 10-20% travel
In this highly visible role, you will own organizational-level business plans in Oracle Digital North America (ODNA).

The North American region is critical to Oracle Digital Applications’ continued revenue growth and Solutions Engineering plays a crucial role in the success of sales at Oracle Digital Applications. Expanding the Oracle Fusion Application footprint to our platform requires both business and technical aptitude, communication, and close partnership with the Sales team. Solutions Engineering is essential to drive our continued success and solution value with our customers.

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.
As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions.
