NVIDIA is searching for a creative and highly motivated engineer with expertise in system software to join the Tegra system-on-chip (SoC) software organization. You will design key aspects of our SoC kernel drivers and embedded software with a focus on enabling best-in-class power and performance for ARM SoCs.

Review architectural performance bottlenecks for various datacenter and edge server workloads. Define system level HW/SW policies to maximize performance and performance/watt.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as HW, SW, platform, marketing and customer engineering teams. Provide feedback and assess tradeoffs in order to converge on key design choices.
Using strong communication skills, build and drive architecture, analysis documents and communications to internal and/or external audiences about our technology.
Collaborate with hardware architecture teams. Identify opportunities to improve our architecture and make it more performant generation to generation.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of relevant software development experience
Hands on technical experience and demonstrated excellence in an environment with complex software and hardware designs
Strong understanding of multicore hardware, operating systems design, concurrency, virtual memory, caching, interrupts, device drivers and real-time programming
Outstanding C programming and low-level driver experience
Experienced with ARMv8 based processor architecture
Proven leadership skills and strong ownership on past projects
Experience analyzing, debugging and tuning performance of complex system software stacks.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms (KVM, QEMU)
Deep understanding of system level architecture, such as topologies, interconnects, memory hierarchy, interrupts, and memory-mapped IO
