NVIDIA is now looking for an experienced software engineer in the area of quantum computing and quantum circuit simulators.
NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform has revolutionized HPC and AI, and we are now looking forward to building an exciting new product to enable researchers and framework builders in the area of Quantum Computing. In this role, you will be part of an engineering team designing, developing, and optimizing software to accelerate Quantum Computing frameworks and applications such as Quantum Circuit Simulators. Ideal candidates will have experience building software systems, and interest in advancing the state-of-the-art in applications of HPC and GPUs to the quantum computing ecosystem.

What you'll be doing:
What we need to see:
Research and develop creative and innovative algorithms and software systems to help accelerate quantum circuit simulators for current and future quantum computers.
Work closely with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product Management teams in the areas of quantum computing, programming systems, and machine learning.
Interact with external partners and researchers in the quantum computing ecosystem to understand software use cases and requirements.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to other engineers on your team.
Analyze the performance of GPU or CPU implementations and find opportunities for algorithmic or implementations improvements.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
PhD or MSc degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or related science or engineering field is preferred (or equivalent experience)
6+ years of experience in quantum computing (quantum algorithms, programming systems, and hybrid classical/quantum computations).
Experience using one or more of quantum computing and deep learning frameworks (eg, Qiskit, TNQVM, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Background with Quantum Circuit Simulator methods such as Tensor Networks or State Vector methods.
Excellent C++ and Python programming and software design skills, including functional and performance tests design.
Strong basis in linear algebra and math for quantum computing.
Experience leading and executing software development projects.
Great collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

Parallel programming experience with GPUs (CUDA or OpenCL), multi-threading, or MPI.
Good knowledge of CPU and/or GPU hardware architecture.
