Senior Firmware Engineer, Displays

We are now looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer in our Displays team!

We are now seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the development of G-SYNC gaming monitor firmware. In this role, you will be a key member of a team of innovators, challenging the status quo and pushing beyond boundaries. You will have the opportunity to impact the industry's leading gaming displays.
The NVIDIA G-SYNC team is looking for a creative engineer with expertise in video processing – a hands-on expert who can help build new video display firmware. Our team is nimble and creative: building on our strengths, while breaking new ground. We run like a startup, but with the resources of NVIDIA.
What you’ll be doing:

  • As a key member of our team, you will architect and write the on-chip CPU firmware that enables NVIDIA’s award-winning high performance, low latency HDR G-SYNC gaming displays

  • Work on groundbreaking gaming monitor features that are redefining the video gaming industry, such as G-SYNC, ULMB, HDR, Reflex and other upcoming features

  • Collaborate with multiple teams in our company, as well as with our monitor maker partners

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years of meaningful software/firmware development experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Good C or C++ programming skills and scripting languages

  • Excellent debugging skills on embedded systems (Hardware and Firmware interaction/debug)

  • Experience in video and/or image processing

  • You independently identify and diagnose solutions to the issues faced during the development of a product. You have a real passion for sofware development and enjoy working closely with hardware

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with FPGAs and RTL Design

  • Knowledge of and experience with DisplayPort, HDMI, eDP, USB, DRAM, and/or HDR
