Cybersecurity Specialist, Internal Audit

As part of our team, you will contribute to planning, scope development, and project execution for sophisticated technology related audits and perform audit test work and preparation of adequate and sufficient audit documentation in accordance with prescribed methodology. Identify root cause and opportunities for improvement of internal controls and acquire consensus on remediation plans with key business partners (IT Operations, Product Security, Information Security and SOX teams). You'll prepare audit reports with clearly presented recommendations with management and conduct audit projects on a regular cadence. Easily adapt between working independently and reciprocally on a team, perform follow-up reviews, and report on the status of action plans to implement internal control improvements derived from internal audit projects. What we need to see:

  • Bachelors (or equivalent experience) or Masters in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. CISA/CISSP preferred.

  • A solid grasp of COBIT, CIS TOP 20, SAP, SOC 1&2 certifications.

  • 5+ years prior operational auditing experience including IT and/or cybersecurity.

  • Understanding of business and operations, strong analytical and project management skills.

  • Basic understanding of internal auditing methodologies and standards and be adept at assessing complex processes to identify potential financial, operational, and compliance risks warranting audit attention.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with the ability to and be able to clearly communicate thoughts appropriately.

  • Ability to lead people and get results, including influencing business process and organizational change.

  • A solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies and general understanding of enterprise risk management.

  • Balance multiple exciting projects and to communicate project status, issues and requirements at all levels within the business.

  • Work independently and translate ambiguous directives into relevant action items and results.

  • Ability to think strategically and plan effectively, with attention to detail and a strong ownership ethic.

  • Travel approximately 15%.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience and knowledge of cybersecurity event and incident analysis, including email compromise and ransomware.

  • Experience with quality frameworks is desired.

  • An understanding of network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, LAN/WAN, routing and switching, as well as network traffic analysis tools.

  • Experience working with SIEM technologies.

  • Experience with most common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android) and their file systems (ext3/4, HFS+, APFS, NTFS, exFAT, etc.).

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructures for the enterprise, such as Amazon Web Services, G Suite, Office 365 and Azure.

  • Relevant security certification/s related to cybersecurity event analysis are highly preferred.
