We are now looking for a Senior Board Test Development Engineer . You will be joining the team driving test methodology across all GPU board products - from the consumer-facing GeForce/Quadro boards to the data-center focused Tesla boards!
We work on projects ranging from evaluating, validating and building new test equipment for the production line and maintaining home-grown test frameworks and related infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and make a difference to NVIDIA's production test solutions.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with Software, Hardware and Architecture teams to design the test solutions for manufacturing the next generation of NVIDIA's world-class GPUs

  • Collaborate with internal hardware and software teams to "push-the-envelope" for manufacturing test by improving coverage and test efficiency

  • Define requirements and work with vendors to design, prototype and validate new production hardware

  • Contribute to test programs during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS (preferred) in Computer or Electrical Engineering with direct knowledge of computer hardware (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of engineering validation experience on server or PCIE system products

  • Prior experience with and an in-depth understanding of PCIE and other high speed interconnects

  • Experience in using debug tools (on Linux) to identify root cause of failure in board products

  • Understanding network and system-specific protocols: I2C, SMBUS, Ethernet protocol stack, IPMI, etc.

  • Python programming and bash scripting experience

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with various computer platforms - x86_64, aarch64 and ppc

  • Enthusiast-level interest in PC hardware (putting together own PCs a definite plus)

  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools using python
