HR Business Partner, Director - Game Studio

Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and now they can download and play mobile games anytime, anywhere with a collection of Netflix curated and produced Games.
The Team
This position will be part of a nascent team within Netflix, partnering with new incoming leaders on the building of our Game Studios. The Game Studio will grow rapidly and require a fast paced, adaptive and resilient approach to its start up journey. The Game Studio will also be enabled by a series of cross functional partners across our Engineering, Product, Data & Insights and Creative teams thus consistent cross functional alignment and collaboration will be needed. The HRBP team works in close partnership with our I&D, TA, and L&D partners. What you will do
  • You will be expected to both contribute to and deliver a cohesive talent strategy and vision for this team and will be responsible for continuing to iterate and evolve our talent practices.
  • The needs of this team are unique in that it requires an HR partner that has a passion for building and growing organizations and leaders.
  • In this role, leading, demonstrating, redefining and modeling the Netflix culture is top priority.
  • They will be stewards of our culture, valuing diversity of opinions and people, and will coach leaders to become more competent, compassionate, conscious and courageous in these efforts.
  • In addition to coaching and development of leaders and their incoming teams, this individual will need to have the ability to influence across the business as well as with cross functional talent partners. A heightened awareness of the needs of the business will ultimately lead to better partnership and execution of large-scale initiatives.
What we are looking for
  • This position requires 10+ years of progressive, strategic and varied client-facing HR experience (HRBP, Organizational Development, etc) working in dynamic environments, and the proven ability and interest to be hands-on as needed.
  • This person will be a self starter, demonstrating curiosity about the business and organization overall with a desire to uplevel the partnership with the teams they support.
  • Experience developing highly effective leaders that build strong teams, lead with empathy, and unlock the capabilities of a global, diverse workforce. Executive coaching certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience working closely in high growth and fast transformation environments is preferred. Demonstrated passion for technology, gaming and entertainment is encouraged.
  • Having successfully led cross functional initiatives across a variety of disciplines: culture building, organizational development, talent management, and inclusion and diversity is ideal.
  • Comfort leading through change, ambiguity and high periods of growth are also beneficial to working with this team.
