Do you want to play an instrumental role in supporting diversity and inclusion (D&I) change initiatives? Here is your opportunity! We are seeking an influential and experienced professional with experience in HR and Diversity & Inclusion. This role will provide subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices to embed in systems and process across HR. This role will also be responsible for the strategy, design, and sustainment of aligned solutions.
Working with key internal partners (HR Line Solutions, HR Services, Global Talent Acquisition, HR Business Insights, Performance & Rewards) and external vendors, you will develop, deploy, align, and integrate solutions. In partnership with key stakeholders across HR, you will use your skills and industry knowledge to influence the development, deployment, success, and sustainability of global and scalable solutions that share and drive cultural change across the ecosystem.
Successful candidates will have strong strategic planning skills and the ability to build trusting relationships across stakeholders. They will have experience identifying common connection points, driving integration with key functional partners and leading change management across the ecosystem. You should not only be passionate about delivering D&I solutions but obsessed with leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to measure progress and drive results. Responsibilities
  • Thought Leadership and Guidance - You proactively represent Microsoft as a thought leader, internally and externally. You facilitate the promotion and awareness of Microsoft's diversity initiatives, providing consultation and coaching to key stakeholders, leadership teams and business units on diversity and inclusion priorities, capabilities, offerings and best practices.
  • Strategic Planning - You establish the implementation approach for diversity and inclusion activities in alignment with Microsoft's global strategy. You build, own and guide the execution of project plans and oversee budget management for key initiatives. You lead risk management and mitigation planning, and develop plans to remove barriers and promote inclusive organizational practices
  • Solution Design and Management - You identify and design solutions, new processes and tools for your team, applying best practices and an understanding of strategy, audiences, and business needs. You evaluate opportunities identified by the enterprise, as well as assess and identify interconnected patterns and trends across multiple HR Partners and programs to design solutions to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Influencing Change - You are a change facilitator, contributing to the design and implementation of communication plans for change management and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gain buy-in from business leadership to ensure adoption. You build and own relationships with key partners and third parties to align and integrate solutions across programs within a business and ensure diversity and inclusion outcomes are achieved and embedded within company offerings and resources.
  • Insights with Analytics - You analyze a wide variety of data, identify trends and patterns, provide insights to stakeholders, and recommend solutions to correct and proactively prevent issues. You develop and update measures of success based on business needs and best practices, and monitor the reporting process to ensure it supports the evaluation of diversity initiatives.

  • Diversity and Inclusion - The ability to establish and promote diversity and inclusion in multiple aspects, including the ability to create and maintain an environment of objectivity, open communication, and respect. This may also include the ability to implement and support strategies and initiatives that build high-performing, diverse and inclusive teams, and support formal diversity goal requirements.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Analytics/Metrics - Knowledge of Metrics, measurements taken over time that monitor, assess, and communicate vital information about the results of diversity and inclusion programs and efforts.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Standards and Procedures - Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to and update of Diversity standards and procedures: A congruent set of behaviors, attitudes, and policies that enable a person or group to work effectively in crosscultural situations; the process by which individuals and systems respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, and other diversity factors in a manner that recognizes, affirms, and values the worth of individuals, families, and communities and protects and preserves the dignity of each.
  • Corporate Culture Enhancement - The ability to correlate the organizational culture to new initiatives in order to keep the culture continually evolving with modern concepts. This includes the ability to communicate corporate culture broadly to educate and engage associates, and understand the culture to complement business strategy. This also includes the ability to use culture to guide decision-making and to ensure the company values and culture are visible and recognizable to internal and external stakeholders.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant Human Resources or business experience with Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field OR 12+ years of relevant Human Resources or business experience
  • Demonstrated experience with mature, high-impact D&I and talent functions, practices, and tools

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human resources, business, organization development, psychology, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience translating data results into internal trends and conclusions that inform the proposal of innovative practices.
  • Demonstrated experience building well-developed learning and coaching solutions
  • Demonstrated experience serving as culture and organization change agent in a global fast moving, dynamic and results-driven organization
  • Demonstrated experience with coaching and influencing leaders at all levels
  • Global Mindset and experience - Knowledge and understanding of global cultures, including similarities and differences. This includes the ability to work across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries to drive communications, business strategies and multi-geography projects and teams; and adapt to a highly matrixed environment.
