Our team is looking for a Senior Engineer to help build out our safety technology space. Online safety is a key investment area for Xbox, Microsoft, and the tech industry as a whole and is full of technical, policy, and experience challenges. In this role, you’ll help us create innovative solutions to solve them! If you are an experienced engineer who wants in help us guide and facilitate the collaboration and technical excellence across XBC and our other Microsoft partners, then we have the role for you! Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver large scale distributed software services and solutions in collaboration with inter and intra-division teams
  • Partner with Decision Science, Trust & Safety, Design, and Product to build positive working relationships, identify growth opportunities, and define experiences.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure that family-focused features have the cross-organizational support necessary to delight our users

Qualifications
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and shipping software
  • 4+ years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining services
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • A passion for solving hard problems as part of a team
Useful Experience
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • You have experience with AI / Machine Learning, Data Analysis
  • 5+ years of experience with distributed systems, performance analysis, databases, and/or large-scale data processing
  • 5+ years of experience designing secure and scalable cloud-based services
  • Full-stack development experience across multiple platforms
  • Experience building and working in a continuous delivery environment
  • Strong working knowledge of media processing pipelines
