This role is focused on Microsoft’s Enterprise Public Sector Segment revenue performance and analysis – partnering with the Public Sector leadership team to drive the business for some of Microsoft’s largest, most strategic accounts around the world. Responsibilities
Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with WCB Public Sector leadership and Microsoft finance teams (GSMO, CFT, Engineering Group, WCB) to drive revenue performance insights, align messaging and actions.
  • Provide analytics to influence business decision making to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Core accountabilities for this role include:
    • Support monthly and quarterly Financial Planning & Analysis core deliverables, including new reporting and analytics to drive business insight and decision making
    • Monitor progress throughout the quarter to proactively highlight risks, opportunities and insights on deal wins and losses
    • Develop new analytical frameworks and performance metrics to evaluate the long term health of our Public Sector business
    • Drive deep dive analytics and supporting BI on performance hot topics
    • Ad hoc, project-based analytics to support various business initiatives
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Team player - must have the ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others
  • Proven expertise with complex financial modeling, analysis and reporting such as trend/time series analysis, regression, correlation, benchmarking, cohort analysis, sensitivity analysis, etc.
  • Proven ability to partner, build trust, communicate with and influence senior executives; ability to make the complex simple and influence through effective story telling
  • Proficiency combining, structuring and mining large volumes of data from disparate sources using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Expert Excel user familiar with advanced functions and charting capabilities

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
