This role is primarily a technical program manager role, with the TPM required to work with Product Managers and customers to deeply understand related carrier related functionality and then partner with engineering teams within the Azure for Operators (A4O) team and across Azure to drive evolution of and / or integration of new capabilities. Key to the role will be a proven ability to influence product + systems team’s products.
The TPM will be expected to:
Lead v-teams whose purpose will be to take customer scenarios and work with engineering partner teams to develop detailed development / integration plans.
- Establish close working partnerships with product managers and engineering teams to develop and release new offerings based on detailed product plans
Leverage existing experience working on distributed systems to work with engineering and partner teams to ensure carrier grade reliability is delivered
- Have demonstrated ability to remediate customer crisis situations including leading v-teams to identify issues and remediate and ability to engage with customer execs
Have proven experience delivering solutions using Edge and micro-service computing technologies such as Kubernetes
The ideal candidate would also have experience working inside cloud engineering teams such as Compute, Networking and Storage – with a proven knowledge of engineering processes supporting compliance, privacy and security.
A minimum of 10 years industry experience with at least 5 years experience working within cloud engineering teams such as Azure, AWS or GCP
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A BSc or MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
