We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join the Redmond Excel team where they will build impactful new features and adapt existing features to an always-collaborative world, reaching more than 1 billion customers around the world. A passion for deeply understanding the real-world needs of our users and a desire to advance the state of the art is a must. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required in this role as it involves working closely with a diverse group of engineers, program managers, and designers across organizations to deliver the best user experience and software architecture for our customers.

Responsibilities
We work across all the different end points of Excel including Windows, Web, iOS, Android, and Mac, leveraging modern software development methodologies while interweaving new technologies within the existing code base. One of the unique opportunities available on the Excel team is the ability to contribute across a wide range of technologies from low-level systems like File I/O and calculation, all the way up to rendering, touch, collaboration and integration with modern operating systems
Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional programming experience writing code in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, C#, Python, etc.
  • Proven success collaborating across groups to deliver software features or projects
