The Power BI Service Platform Supportability team is looking for a Principal PM to drive the strategy for Supportabilty across all of Power BI. Focused on driving a best in class support and supportability experience, the Power BI Service Platform Supportability team leverages operational excellence, data driven decision making and the creation, implementation and delivery of features to achieve that end. As Principal PM on the Service Platform Supportability team, you will evolve and drive a strategy to position Power BI’s support as an industry differentiator, contributing to the explosive growth of Power BI. Partnering with Engineers, PMs and Customer Support Services, the Principal PM will champion and drive proactive customer centric features, focusing on deflection, diagnostics and prevention. Leveraging operational excellence and emphasizing continuous improvement, you will identify and execute cross team and cross division initiatives with the goal of eliminating, preventing and aiding in the resolution of customer issues.
As part of an agile team the Principal Program Manager will write well defined specs and drive them to completion. You will own and drive the supportability backlog, standup and backlog review sessions. 10+ years experience shipping cloud based software
5+ years experience in an operational role
3+ years Program Management experience
2+ years experience leading teams to success, creating best in class outcomes
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
Demonstrated ability to create clarity translating complex ideas or solutions into actionable work items
Experience with Azure/AWS or other cloud computing platforms is a plus
Power BI and/or Analytics experience
Familiarity with agile software development
Action oriented with a passion for operational excellence
Advanced communication with the ability to create collaborative relationships, be persistent, patient and listen
Passion for the customer experience
