Joining the Microsoft Specialist Sales Team as the Cross Solution Area Manager for General Motors/Cruise you will be leading a team of senior sellers to craft end to end solutions for their business. This is a critical business role that spans our Solution Areas of Modern Work, Business Applications and Azure (which itself includes Application Innovation, Data and AI and Infrastructure). In this role, you will help the team crystalize solution strategy, orchestrate customer outcomes and delight the customer with the value of our cloud solutions. Responsibilities
Sales:
  • Lead sellers to drive the solution area businesses to overachieve revenue, consumption, and scorecard targets. Maintain pipeline and the forecast to required operational standards. Ensure appropriate 4 quarter qualified pipeline in place by solutions and workloads.
    Hone their seller's Solution Sales skills to sell business outcomes vs products.
  • Ensures orchestration among sales team and other teams engaging in the customer (e.g. partners, services, Engineering support, etc.)
  • Ensure appropriate 4 quarter qualified pipeline in place by workload/solution.
  • Bring together Microsoft solutions with Partner solutions; fully leverage the synergy effect with our Partners and co-sell with them to make deals bigger and faster.


People Management:

  • Develops a high-performing team by hiring diverse talent, prioritizing development, leading by example and by preparing people for more senior positions in other parts of the organization.
  • Coaching sellers with a "challenger mentality" by prompting early engagement and lead with new insights on how to grow GM’s business.
  • Successful teams and team members are recognized and rewarded, both within the sales organization and at Corporate levels.


Customer centricity:
  • Lead from the front, personally engaging at CxO level to support and coach teams on opportunity discovery and acceleration.
  • Lead sellers to drive end-to-end business solutions for GM/Cruise, increasing customer and partner satisfaction and average deal sizes YoY.
  • Lead cross-team to ensure customer intent to consume cloud services sold.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Enterprise sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading high-performing sales teams in Software & Cloud Services organizations
Preferred:
  • Manufacturing or Auto Industry experience preferred
  • Technology startup experience highly desired
  • Track record leading specialist teams, selling & delivering complex professional services solutions to Enterprise customers
    Experienced in running annuity business
  • Bachelor’s degree with exposure to Information Technology
  • Proven sales expertise, with a track record of consistently meeting & exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrable sales excellence discipline
  • Commercial Support services & solutions knowledge
  • Experienced in sales methodologies & processes
  • Cross solution/discipline experience around Microsoft's Cloud offerings
