Cloud, data and AI are key enablers in the transformation of Pharma and Life Sciences’ customers. The role of Industry Advocate (IA) is at the leading edge of this transformation journey with our customers.
The goal of the Industry Advocate is to partner with account teams and bring in depth industry knowledge, connections, insights to nourish the strategic development and growth of the account, to broker the right resources at the right time from across the company, coach the account team in industry-specific digital transformation discussions with a 3-5 years horizon. The end goal is to act as industry expert, complementing the reach of the account team with industry engagements and opportunities in a select number of strategic customers, applying deep industry knowledge and tech experience.
The Industry Advocate looks after 2-3 strategic/marquee accounts. The IA works with the account team to position Microsoft as a trusted advisor to key business decision-makers, helping them build the program of digital transformation.
As Industry Advocate, you are focused on generating industry relevant opportunities across the value chain of health and pharma accounts (pharma R&D, consumer/retail; manufacturing, payors and providers), working and selling closely with Microsoft and its partners.
The IA will be part of the Worldwide Healthcare Industry Team with a responsibility for a select number of EMEA strategic accounts and reporting to the EMEA Regional Business Lead for Health and Life Sciences. The IA will contribute to shape strategic alliances with the customer and participate to the development of the overall Pharma and Life Sciences’ strategy.
Responsibilities
Overall Objective: Partner and Coach the strategic account teams, accelerate and deliver growth of Microsoft cloud services through industry focused solutions (Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365), the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and relevant partner specific solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engaging with a maximum of three selected Marquee/Strategic accounts, building deep partnership with the customer and the account teams to drive multi-year strategy
  • Building relationships with CxO and business leaders to drive business outcomes with selected strategic accounts, growing cloud revenue (Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365) to achieve in year budget and rolling 3-year CAGR
  • Strong account strategy with clarity on industry growth opportunities across horizons
  • Nurturing industry partner eco-system in selected strategic accounts
  • Measured on cloud growth and revenue (ACR, ADS..) in selected strategic accounts
  • Landing the WW Industry strategy, solutions and sales plays at within the marquee/strategic accounts.
  • Partner, advise and coach the account team and broker the right resources across the company, with effective orchestration
Qualifications

Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive years of experience combined Industry domain expertise, both working in business roles in Life Sciences organizations or Advisory company working for these sectors
  • Digital Health solution selling or advisory
  • Market development, business development and account selling skills
  • Experience meeting and exceeding assigned sales quotas
  • Experience in strategic partnering with CxO levels
  • Cross-organizational collaboration and influencing skills in a complex, matrixed environment, across the company and partner ecosystem
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required


Location/Travel
– You may be based in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Nordic countries, Belgium, Switzerland or in major Healthcare hubs in Europe. You can expect travel around 40%.
