ABOUT THE JOB
Customer Relationship Management is a core part of Instacart's growth, activation, engagement, and conversion. As the Creative Director focused on CRM, you'll report into the Executive Creative Director, and be a direct partner working closely with our CRM Director and CRM Program Managers. You'll lead the creative concept, design development, and strategic design execution of our digital communications. Your role is crucial in understanding strategic business goals, while having a strong eye for design.
As a creative leader, you inspire and empower teams to do their best work. You're driven to create visually compelling work, grounded in strategy, and focused on the long-term goal. You can listen with empathy, explain the "whys" behind decisions, challenge the status quo, and represent your viewpoints with conviction.
You'll be joining a growing team that supports Instacart's growing brand and creative expression, and help to build creative processes and partnerships to elevate team performance. You'll lead a team of designers and writers to ensure our digital communications are exceptionally designed, on-brand, and on-strategy—and rolling up your sleeves to work out the details. - Develop a design strategy for CRM focused digital marketing and communications
- Drive excellence in quality—pushing creative concepts and providing design inspiration to teams to express the Instacart brand
- Partner closely with the CRM Team to understand strategy, business goals, timelines, planning, while being the voice for creative for strategic decisions
- Manage and bring inspiration to a of designers and writers for CRM focused projects
- Translate CRM briefs into creative direction, ensuring final creative delivers on the needs of the business
- Participate in and help facilitate Creative and CRM design brainstorming, ideation sessions, and concepting
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners through the implementation phase to realize design vision
- 7+ years experience in leading creative direction in-house or at creative agency
- 7+ years of experience in managing brand, marketing design, and/or creative projects.
- 7+ years of experience managing a team of designers and writers
- Proven ability to understand and discuss business & brand strategy, related to creative design
- Demonstrates the ability to work confidently and build trusted partnerships with Marketing, Creative, Business Development
- A strong visual portfolio that demonstrates experience of CRM digital marketing
- Experience working with CRM campaigns, life-cycle, digital communications across all CRM marketing channels
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Excellent in process improvement and identifying opportunities to create sustainable and scalable solutions across a diverse range of creative projects and CRM platforms
