Talent Acquisition Manager
We are looking to identify a Recruiting Manager to lead one of IBM's critical business segments. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Leader, you will be responsible for leading and driving the TA strategy, delivery and execution of the US hiring plan & collaboration with all geographies. The role will develop and lead hiring initiatives to meet overall business recruiting goals. This is a high impact role requiring extraordinary partner skills with validated ability and experience to execute recruiting strategy, influence partners, provide insight into talent market to take the best approach, and deliver results.
  • You will lead segmented (professional, delivery, early professional) hiring for business unit(s) supported.
  • Project management and design (when applicable) in effective hiring processes/staffing plans to meet changing business needs.
  • Directly lead resources and execution for US hiring for the business sub segment.
  • Function as a point of contact for the business, HR, Recruiting Leader and other partners.
  • Participate in the preparation and delivery of monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews for deep dive on recruiting performance and activity for business & partners.
  • Use agile principles to execute demand to forecast backlog and fulfill hiring targets.
  • Providing leadership, appreciation, mentoring and evaluation to recruiting teams.
  • Work with Sourcing team and Leaders to ensure successful differentiated hiring is achieved with improved client and applicant.
  • Partner with business and finance/HR to align on methodologies and accuracy of talent demand and headcount management.
  • Hold weekly and monthly team meetings as well as regular 1:1’s with team recruiters, consistently engage with HR and clients for business continuity and planning.
  • Own getting the right people, skills into the right roles. This should include strategic understanding, planning and mentoring for the manager on what they need i.e. scoping the hiring.
  • Drive partnership of US execution and early professional college hiring execution plan.

Talent Acquisition Managers are located in IBM Offices in one of the following locations: Boston, MA, Raleigh, NC, Ann Arbor, MI, or Chicago, IL.
Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 3+ years’ experience running and leading large recruiting teams
  • 5-7+ years related experience in Talent Acquisition/Staffing
  • TA experience in Research, AI, HCIT, or technology industry sector

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Critical Thinking and Leadership – Capable of executing and delivering a desired future state (vision) through influence on what we value, individual and group goals, execution of plans, value reinforcements, and systems
  • Organizational Awareness – Deep understanding of and ability to utilize analytics & creative talent practices to drive business results, including impacting labor costs, retention, performance management and engagement
  • Communication – Presenting ideas effectively both verbally and in writing. Able to motivate and encourage both direct and indirect organizations through effectively articulating the opportunities and challenges throughout the organization
