Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Global Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is looking for a Solutions Architect with experience working with development methodologies and tools to be responsible for custom development to integrate various security technologies in use within IBM to Service Now.
The candidate must be able to take requirements, create a design and turn it into a finished working deliverable. They will work with technical teams to implement next generation security initiatives and security proof of concepts to improve IBM security posture and response. Creativity, self-driven, problem solving and attention to detail are valuable traits of a successful candidate.
  • Provide technical cybersecurity architectural solutions based on business requirements.
  • Analyzes requirements by evaluating business needs and technical requirements and develops them into a finished working deliverable
  • Researches information security trends, standards and practices to identify needs for enhancing security solutions
  • Participates in projects to pilot /proof-of-concept / test new security solutions in limited deployment to evaluate and recommend for large-scale deployment
  • Identify security considerations for design and deployment of new applications & solutions across the corporate enterprise
  • Accepts ownership of tasks, is able to independently drive to completion and seek guidance of more senior team members as needed
  • Participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges to improve security architecture/engineering practices
  • Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Validate requirements with security operations stakeholders.
  • Implement technical solutions (proof of concepts / pilots, or production ready systems) to meet or to prove the functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain large scale systems which are already developed and in production.
  • Knowledge transfer to new team members, provide technical directions and help other team members.
  • Perform Scrum Master duties such as leading stand ups, planning, kick-off meetings, retrospectives and presenting team progress to leadership.
  • Research new security trends, new Big Data Technologies which can be used to enhance large scale security solutions. Incorporate innovative approaches to design cost effective and performant solutions using Cloud technologies.
  • Deploy hardware and software, install and configure clusters, apply security controls, deploy processing jobs (code) to the cluster.
  • Develop log data collection and analytics platform to support the IBM Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) - Security Operations Center (SOC) team be able to proactively monitor for and investigate cybersecurity threats to IBM computing environments. Maintain current production systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Security Architect
  • Experience leading enterprise technical implementations
  • Experience with middleware services
  • Passion for information security and data security
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience with Agile development / DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g. GitHub, Travis, JIRA)
