You will do activities associated with the day-to-day management of the contracted service. As Solaris Administrator you will be focused on the management of the daily environment checks and cooperation with other teams. You will be also focused on the automation and improvements of the daily tasks to optimize the service.

Daily work on incidents, service requests
Prepare and perform the Requests for Change
Troubleshoot and solve email transport issues
Lead and fulfill Problem Management and Request for Service activities
Supporting archive and restores
Trainings and certifications

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Good Linux/Unix experince with ability to learn and develop in Solaris Administration area.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge of the technologies such as:
Create, patch, and administer containers, Logical Domains (LDOMS) and Solaris Branded Zones
Practical knowledge of ZFS Volume Manager.
File system tuning, management and configuration; performance tuning.
Perform disk management for Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
User, groups and roles management
Experience with ILOM and OBP management for Sparc T5 series servers
Hardware/kernel troubleshooting and problem identification.
Kernel tuning using configuration files and system tools.
Troubleshoot the UNIX boot process for Storage Area Network (SAN)
Knowleadge of TCP/IP
Solaris networkig configuration, (IPMP, AGGR, IB, Vlans)
Installation, configuration, zones clustering
BASH / PERL (optional)
