Main tasks:
  • Installation and migration of the database(s) and application tools
  • Allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system
  • Modify the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
  • Enroll users and maintaining system security
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the database
  • Develop and create a wide-range of documentation such as presentations, technical designs, functional specifications and system requirements
  • Update and enhance the existing documentation on a regular basis by guaranteeing quality and completeness
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for database specific configurations, access and processes
  • Coordinate with other functions e.g. Operations as necessary
  • Contribute to the preparation of test cases and work closely with the migration managers and analysts
  • Conduct analysis on whether IT policies/standards are being followed, follow up and apply in cases where necessary
  • Perform peer reviews for the code quality and ensure compliance to all standards and guidelines for software programming
  • Evaluate existing systems/processes
  • Interact with stakeholders within the IT department

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and operating Oracle PCA
  • Hands-on experience in preparing and migrating Oracle databases onto Oracle PCA
  • 3-5 Years of Experience as Oracle DBA with deep understanding and experience in Oracle RAC, Dataguard, Orancle Engineered Systems / Exadata
  • Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment with agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, TDD, CI/CD)
  • Experience with Oracle performance tuning
  • Experience in collaborating with application developers on application tuning and SQL optimization
  • Ability to multi task across different cloud solutions to support teammates
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities to ensure team success and quality solutions
  • Professionalism both written and oral communication (English) within the team and with both customers and partners

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in Oracle migrations in general
