Your Role and Responsibilities
Currently we are looking for Information Security Advisor. Overall view of this role is to provide security consultancy, management and security focus to the account’s management team and customer contacts.
More detailed responsibilities include:
  • To report to the Information Security Manager providing objective, informed and impartial guidance that balances the needs of the customer and IBM.
  • To assist with establishing, maintaining and oversee effective working relationships for all IBM and Third-Party teams providing security support on the account.
  • To review RFSs, providing technical security input as required.
  • To maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the customer by regularly holding meetings, by understanding the customer’s security requirements and by promptly responding to customer requests / queries / problems.
  • To understand differences between Customer security policies and processes and IBM standards.
  • To add technical input to the Account’s end-to-end Security Risk Management process
  • Ensure that contractual requirements for information risk management and security controls are understood, documented and satisfied.
  • To provide input into subsequent Security Policy reviews are completed within planned timescales.
    • To provide oversight for the implementation / management of operational security activities, processes and policies e.g. CSD, Security Incident Process. AV Malware, Vulnerability Scanning, etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Previous experience in an Audit, Compliance or Security related role.
  • Relevant Security accreditation such as
  • CompTIA Security+ / CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner+
  • CISM / CISSP
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Security processes and their implementation e.g. IAM, Patch, Malware, Security Risk Management, Security Policy, Security Incident Management.
  • Ideally some knowledge of NIST Security Standards
  • An ability to communicate technical Security matters to UK customer contacts both orally & written

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in the analysis of Qualys Vulnerability Scan• Knowledge of patch management technologies across different platforms
