Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is looking for an Industry Client Leader. Your duties will include:
  • Expertly manages the total customer relationship for the WPP account with broad general manager type responsibilities.
  • Have a deep understanding and insight into the client’s business – current trends, future trends, etc. – and deploy a strategy to be ahead of where the industry is moving
  • Collaborate with other client and unit leaders across all brands within the Geo and Global
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of IBM solutions and portfolio of products
    • Leads the planning and execution of an effective relationship strategy and maintains effective long-term business relationships at the senior level with key decision makers and influencers, while shielding the client form IBM’s internal complexity.
  • Responsible for revenue, profit, signings & customer satisfaction on assigned account(s) developing an effective end to end account plan to reach or surpass targets.
Responsibilities (From the client’s perspective):
  • Become a valued, long term strategic partner to the clients’ CEO and Line of Business (LOB) executives
  • Leverage IBM’s entire portfolio of capabilities, including technology, services and research, to help solve clients’ business issues and drive tangible value in the client’s terms for the enterprise
  • Be the window into IBM for the client, and to mobilize IBM globally through access to both senior IBM management and global resources
  • Be regarded as the Industry expert to the clients
Responsibilities (from the IBM perspective):
  • Customize IBM strategies, research, products and services to satisfy unique client requirements
  • Drive industry specific skill growth across IBM cross-brand teams
  • Drive revenue, profit and wallet share growth
  • Act as a role model for client-driven innovation across IBM
  • Maximize client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Be operationally sound, utilizing IBM’s business reporting procedures; participate in the Sales Cadence process as required

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in Account Management
  • Experience in Developing Large Strategic Deals
  • Professional Selling expertise
  • IT/Technical expertise

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Local to the New York Metro area preferred.

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM sales incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change.
