Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for the right candidate for the position Guardium Specialist, who will join our Guardium team. Guardium Specialist to be responsible for Guardium solution optimization/configuration/maintenance/troubleshooting.
Guardium is infrastructure solution consisting of central management systems and lightweight software installed on client systems. It provides capability to monitor database transactions and filesystem access including capability to manage and prohibit the access. It provides this functionality with negligible computing impact to client systems. IBM Security Guardium is designed to help safeguard critical data. Guardium is a comprehensive data protection plaƞorm that enables security teams to automatically analyze what is happening in sensitive-data environments (databases, data warehouses, big data platforms, cloud environments, files systems, and so on) to help minimize risk, protect sensitive data from internal and external threats, and seamlessly adapt to IT changes that may impact data security. Guardium helps ensure the integrity of information in data centers and automate compliance controls.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • General knowledge of Unix/Linux OS as well as Windows OS
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Networks knowledge
  • Technical documentation writing skill
  • Analytic thinking
  • Self-motivated and be able to work independently
  • Good organization skills
  • Responsibility

  • Focus on detail
  • English: Fluent
  • University degree in technical area (Bachelor, Master) or High School diploma with demonstrable practice

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience as IT architect or Engineer
  • Scripting/programming languages knowledge (C, Bash/Ksh, Perl, etc.)
  • Guardium administration knowledge
  • Relational databases like Oracle DB or DB2
  • ITIL
  • Personal potential to grow in technical area
  • Leadership - able to lead team members in case of projects
