Your Role and Responsibilities
Taking functional direction from the Director of Compensation EMEA Geography Reward the successful candidate :
- will be responsible for ensuring global IBM Reward strategy & practices are embedded and followed within their market
will interlock with the IBM Reward CoE with respect to the operational management of employee reward programs and case handling
will use data & analytics to pro-actively identify issues / trends and propose solutions to the business, as appropriate providing guidance on implementation, initiatives and programs allowing business leaders to maximize effectiveness in their units
will build up an external network to build eminence and gain understanding of local market practices, in support of ensuring IBM reward practices remain contemporary and appropriate
understand and keep abreast of local legislation/regulations, working with CoE to develop processed to ensure appropriate compliance and reporting
- will represent the market within the Reward function and highlight country/market specifics which need to be accounted for in global reward design
- will work closely with the IBM Market HR Leader(s) & HR Business Partners to promote understanding of employee and executive reward practices and how these are integrated into IBM's HR Strategy
will provide advise & counsel on highly complex cases
will partner with other IBM functions on matters involving legal compliance, employee relations, employee communications, payroll, and financial reporting/budgeting as appropriate to their market
will have the opportunity to participate in global projects including policy & practice design
will where, due to specific local country practice, local vendors are engaged for service provision, will manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts - in conjunction with Procurement
will be an active and contributing member to the local market HR community including providing insight to interpret policies when deep specialization is needed
will report to the local in-country Market HR Leader for country reporting purposes
