Compensation Lead, North America

Your Role and Responsibilities
The North America compensation lead role will work directly with Corporate Compensation, HR Leadership and Business Management in the implementation and execution of employee/executive compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay and equity programs.
The role provides advice, guidance and recommendations on compensation and salary planning actions and collaborates with line management to implement, modify and track compensation programs consistent with Corporate direction. Will act as a functional expert, leading the organization's Compensation, HR and line management teams across compensation programs. This role also includes analyzing and interpreting compensation data to develop recommendations and actions in support of the business's ability to attract, motivate and retain an effective workforce.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Lead the execution of annual compensation programs, providing overall project management, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines
  • Conduct job evaluation to appropriately determine and recommend internal job/band leveling
  • Participate in the design and recommendation of organization compensation programs
  • Provide direction and guidance to other Compensation and HR Professionals to achieve compensation program goals and objectives
  • Faciliate training and communications in coordination with other support teams for HR and line managers regarding compensation program implementation
  • Implement and coordinate compensation solutions (processes, programs, policies, etc), ensuring budgets and timelines are met
  • Utilization of analytical software and compensation tools to faciliate data analysis
  • Build a strong business acumen to understand the client's market

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 8-10 years prior compensation experience
  • Minimum 12 years experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to lead and support more junior compensation team members
  • Strong data skills required (i.e., spreadsheet data analysis, working with high volumes of data, strong Excel skills, Powerpoint proficiency)
  • Ability to organize, analyze, interpret and explain data findings is required

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Prior experience working with advanced data tools is preferred
  • Prior experience supporting executive compensation preferred
