Your Role and Responsibilities
The Industrial Market Technical Sales Team is currently seeking a Data and AI Client Technical Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for supporting technical sales of IBM's Data and AI portfolio.
In this role you will be expected to demonstrate and explain the benefits of various technology and IBM’s ability to deliver solutions that make customers successful. Responsibilities include understanding client’s business requirements, technical requirements, competitive landscape, and recommending technical solutions from IBM’s Data and AI portfolio which meet customer needs and solve enterprise challenges.
Additionally, candidates will serve as technical liaisons to clients, business partners and integrators to provide sufficient industry and domain expertise to establish credibility for IBM’s abilities and value proposition. You will be guided by IBM's purpose – to be essential to its clients; help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s Hybrid Cloud Data and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Use business acumen to understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate within Market, IBM and Business Partner Technical and Services teams to define, design, and detail the aspects and feasibility of proposed integrated solutions.
  • Work with the extended technical team and sales teams to deliver effective Demos, Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), support critical situations.
  • Actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s proven structured, unstructured data and ai solutions.
  • Work with IBM Business partners to supplement their existing stills, provide skills transfer to partners and provide direction in engaging with IBM resources.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • At least 3 years in pre-sales engineering.
  • Knowledge of the IBM Data and AI portfolio.
  • Experience with applying technical solutions to solve business problems.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Data Modeling, Data Exploration, Data Science, Operational Reporting, Operational APIs.
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience including cloud computing.
  • Competitive experience with other cloud solutions and vendor technologies.
