Your Role and Responsibilities

Analyst Relations is a strategic function that works with industry analysts and influencers that:
advise end-user technology buyers on vendor selection and IT strategy
track competitive intelligence, market share/growth, and make forecasts
influence media and investors, helping shape public perception
help companies like IBM position our offerings/solutions in the market by providing strategic advice and the voice of the customer.
This role is aligned to the Analyst Relations teams across Services and Industry. This role helps organize, simplify, and drive business processes so that the AR managers can focus on driving strategic outbound/inbound communication with analysts. The candidate will be a strong internal partner to AR leadership, focused on driving operational efficiency within the team and increasing AR’s visibility with analysts and IBM executives by delivering thoughtful and regular communication of AR value and outcomes in coordination with the AR operations team.Candidate should have:
Expert project management skills, you keep your team organized, providing clarity and structure
The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, you can jump from topic to topic easily
Strong attention to detail, you chase tasks until completion and always follow-up
A natural tendency to be proactive, you know the needs of the teams and get creative when opportunities arise to help your teammates
Great communication skills, more importantly you know when to listen and when to lead
An ability to build consensus, helping your team see the value in new and innovative ways of working
A desire to grow in the Analyst Relations profession and learn from the industry’s best talent
Collect and organize analyst-ready content/collateral, help feed into IBM’s internal and external community sites
Schedule on-going engagements for AR/BUs stakeholders, build a regular cadence with analysts
Be a central coordination point for BU-level reporting of AR outcomes, upcoming activity, events
Help synthesize analyst research, document “sparklers”
- Manage data and reporting of key performance metrics
- Surface and document best practices for inclusion in IBM’s AR playbook
Act as the primary interface with the AR Operations team for your businesses
Drive central business operations best practices into your supported teams
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years professional experience
2+ years’ experience in analyst relations, marketing, communications
Experience working in the enterprise technology industry
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience in program/project management and/or professional certifications
Experience with original content creation and executive communications
KCG or IIAR certified as an analyst relations professional
