Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience delivering technical training in a fast-moving technology area and to a diverse set of customers, from startups to established companies and/or experience in client-facing technical consulting/educating type role
  • Technical experience in programming and data science

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with creating, maintaining, and/or delivering technical content in a fast-moving technology area
  • Experience mentoring technical professionals adopting new technologies
  • Experience working in a fast growing, dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Acknowledged expert in one or more technologies, as evidenced by invited talks at industry conferences, a high Stack Overflow rating, committer on open-source projects, authoring of magazine articles and books, etc.

Google Cloud teams work with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile and collaborative. You will oversee all aspects of the Google Cloud sales process, improving it with your insightful data analysis, troubleshooting, and seamless cross-functional teamwork. Your strategies ensure that companies new to Google products get the highest quality customer support and that the Google Cloud program overall is kept on the cutting edge.
The Google Cloud training team develops and delivers Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product and solution training to thousands of partners, customers and developers, and has ambitious plans to quickly grow both the range and reach of the training on offer. The training is delivered through a mix of internal trainers and external training partners.
As part of this team, your role will be to deliver training to a mix of customers, strategic partners, and Googlers. You will have superb teaching skills and an ability to explain complex Cloud technologies in a way that engages and inspires technical professionals. While the focus will be on technical training classes, you may at times also support training activities for Marketing events. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the Curriculum Development Team to ensure ongoing high impact of the materials, and may be asked to act as a subject matter expert on new content creation. The primary focus of this role is to deliver courses from the Big Data and Machine Learning curriculum, but you may also be asked to take on courses from other parts of our curriculum as our offering expands.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver superb technical training from the Google Cloud Curriculum, in particular the Data Engineering and Machine Learning tracks, to diverse audiences (e.g., customers, partners, Googlers, etc).
  • Support training activities at Marketing events, including delivering technical classes/presentations, leading Qwiklabs sessions, assisting with our training booth, and/or serving as a TA for large bootcamp sessions.
  • Evaluate, train, audit, and coach other trainers (internal instructors as well as external training partners).
  • Provide direct field feedback to the Curriculum Development team on content being delivered and act as a subject matter expert on new content or updates to existing content.
  • Participate in training planning conversations with strategic customers/partners and work on tailoring content for those audiences as required.
