Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow).
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

The Google Augmented Reality mission is to give people superhuman abilities by making information instantly and intuitively accessible. The Geometric and Human Perception team is building novel algorithms in the intersection of real-time computer vision, novel sensing, and applied machine learning to enable next generation perception capabilities.
As an Augmented Reality Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development of critical platform software that will support existing Augmented Reality products and drive next generation immersive computing products.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and launch novel input technologies in Augmented Reality.
  • Write product or system development code based on machine learning algorithms.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to understand product needs and define internal feature requirements and roadmaps.
  • Work with Research and Product teams to find new technical solutions.
