We are seeking a powertrain validation and development operation’s Group Leader working with the Engineering Group Manager. The role of this Senior Group Leader is to lead the day to day operations for a team of salaried laboratory technicians. Your area of knowledge includes test cell workstation software and hardware (PUMA, INCA, Delta Analyzers, INDICOM), test cell dynamometer equipment (AC Dynos, RWD Diffs, Portable Test Cell Support Equipment), and test cell instrumentation. Validation and development testing lifecycle; FWD and RWD transmission functionality; and ICE functionality and diagnostics as it interfaces with transmission. Knowledge of electric drive units and inverters as well as solid understanding in high voltage electrical safety.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience
5+ years of work experience in related technical areas
5+ years of work experience in a leadership position
Proven Leadership ability
Ability to understand basic mechanical concepts and read engineering drawings
Detailed understanding of math and engineering principles
Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization and motivate employees to perform at their best
Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical subject area
Knowledge of General Motors Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt
Completion of recommended Corporate training programs
